SIMPLE - the jewelry i create is a perfect balance of understated elegance and playfully whimsy. it can be worn everyday but is also the perfect accent for the big moments of your life.
THOUGHTFUL - each piece of jewelry i design begins as a reflection of me. whether it begins with a story or a significant moment from my life, you have your own stories and emotions that will connect you to a piece of jewelry, making it your own.
HANDCRAFTED - each piece of jewelry is made from start to finish by myself or my assistant, erin (an amazingly talented metalsmith in her own right). i work hard to create well-designed, quality pieces.
JEWELRY - christina kober designs began as a hobby, essentially to help me learn about my father's business. my father owns JFF Jeweler Supply, a jeweler supply store in atlanta, georgia. i began working for him when i was 14, i knew nothing about the field; it was just a summer and holiday job so i could fill my closet with clothes... little did i know it would turn into my passion.
after graduating college, i continued working at JFF. i found that i was curious about the process of making jewelry and decided to begin taking classes. i was like a sponge, asking customers and coworkers questions, reading books and experimenting at home. soon, i found myself recommending what tools to buy and providing my own insights into crafting and fabricating jewelry.
while continuing to work at JFF and run my jewelry business, i have started teaching jewelry classes as well. i think it is important to teach and share what i have learned from others over the years. take a class from me or join my mailing list to receive updates about the classes i'm teaching!
i currently live in franklin, tn with my husband & our cat. i am a glass half full kind of person. i am a self proclaimed shopaholic, i like to buy anything from tools to clothes. i love breakfast, dancing, opening fortune cookies, and reading.
